Honda Tops KBB 2014 Brand Image Awards
Once a year, Kelley Blue Book puts out their Brand Image Awards, which recognize auto brands that American consumers consider to be both reliable and enjoyable to own. In other words, if all automakers got together and gave out superlatives in some sort of car yearbook, the 2014 award for “Most Popular” would go to Honda, as it was given the best scores from the 12,000 people that were polled in order to gather information for this year’s awards.
Honda, also 2013's winner, took the 2014 non-luxury crown by sweeping all twelve Brand Watch factors, which include affordability, “cool” factor, driving comfort, driving performance, durability/reliability, exterior styling, fuel efficiency, interior layout, prestige/sophistication, reputation, ruggedness and safety. Honda scored the highest in literally all twelve categories thanks to really impressive customers reviews for the 2014 Honda Accord, 2014 Honda Civic, 2014 Honda Odyssey and 2014 Honda CR-V, and we here at Pacific Honda obviously are very pleased that this was the case.
Honda was also named the Most Trusted Brand for the third consecutive year, and the aforementioned four models once again can take the credit for making those high scores happen.
KBB uses these accolades to prove the point that “perception is reality,” meaning that if enough consumers laud a brand for its positive ownership experience, that brand must logically be a pretty good one. As your San Diego Honda dealership, we have always prided ourselves on selling some of the most reliable vehicles in the industry, and we’re always happy to see a survey like this one lend some credence to those claims.
Congratulations to Honda, and thanks to Kelley Blue Book for the accolade!
