2016 Honda Civic to Debut in September

From the moment that Honda debuted the all-new, completely-redesigned 2016 Honda Civic concept vehicle in New York earlier this year, Honda dealers all over the country had a sense that it was going to be something special. With over 16.5 million models sold in its history, the Civic is the best-selling model that this particular automaker has ever developed, and we already can tell that the latest iteration is going to further boost those numbers.

Of course, what we saw this past winter was at the time just a prototype, but later this month we’ll be given a closer look at the production-spec version of the car during unveilings in both Detroit and L.A. For now, all we’re going to see is the interior and exterior of the sedan body style of the vehicle, but that should be more than enough to give us a sense of what made it past the concept form into the production version of the car.

The sedan version is likely to feature a 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged four-cylinder engine, though there are other iterations of the vehicle set to debut in the coming months, including hatchback and coupe body types, as well as Si and R-Type models that should provide sportier driving experiences. The R-Type, at least, is expected to feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which undoubtedly will be a lot of fun to drive.

In the meantime, we’re just looking forward to getting a closer look at the production version of the new Civic sedan. We know they’ll be at our facility before we know it, and that means we can start adding to that 16.5 million sales count while also thrilling our customers with this slick new updated sedan!
