Honda Named "Best Value Brand" Again

Millions of people use Kelley Blue Book every year to try and get a sense of what their used vehicles are worth either as a trade-in or as a straight-up private sale, but KBB is more than just a respected online valuation tool. Part of the KBB team is Kelley Blue Book Strategic Insights, a branch that looks very closely not only at what all those vehicles are worth but how consumers are reviewing them. Essentially, they want to collect as much data as possible to get their thumb on the industry, and once a year’s worth of data collection is complete they sort through it and dole out their Brand Image Awards.

This year, for the fifth time, Honda was named the “Best Value Brand” in the 2016 Brand Image Study. Brand Watch this year found that no other automaker in the industry was able to offer quite so much for quite so reasonable a price, though cost isn’t the only thing that comes into play with these autos. Brand perception matters, too, as does loyalty and reliability. The aforementioned study found that no automaker this past year balanced all those things more delicately than Honda, and San Diego Honda fans certainly can be proud of that.

“Our Kelley Blue Book expert vehicle reviewers consistently praise Hondas for their overall excellence and strong value story, so it is not surprising that car shoppers feel the same way, naming Honda as Kelley Blue Book’s Best Value Brand again this year,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for KBB.com. “Based on the brand’s legendary quality and reliability, Honda previously won that title in 2015, as well as 2011-2013.”

Here at Pacific Honda, we’re hoping these good vibes continue on well into the future. A few more years being named “Best Value Brand” in the industry certainly wouldn’t hurt Honda in the least.
