Pacific Honda Teams Up for “A Short Walk Home”

One of the really great things about doing business in a community as exciting and vibrant as San Diego, CA is that we have so many outstanding opportunities to get involved with the people. Whenever possible, Pacific Honda does everything in its power to support a worthy cause, and one such event is rapidly approaching: the Father Joe’s Villages “A Short Walk Home” event, set to take place the first week of August.

For those who don’t know anything about the event, it is first and foremost a fundraiser for Father Joe’s Villages, which works to provide services for the homeless. The ultimate goal is to try and end homelessness. But while completely eradicating it isn’t necessarily realistic, they hope to help as many people as possible, in part by organizing this event, which will serve as the first-ever walk for homelessness here in San Diego, CA. To show the support that Pacific Honda has for this event, we will be a sponsor.

The event itself is on August 5, 2017, and costs $30 for adults to sign up and $15 for kids (for those with military service, the entry fee is only $25). It will be held at the Embarcadero Marina Port South starting at 8:00 a.m., with the walk itself generating some of the more beautiful views of the city.

Like all Honda dealers, we here at Pacific Honda want to help our community however we can, and with homelessness being such a daunting problem in major metropolitan areas all over the country, we really hope we can do our part to help those facing homelessness right here in San Diego, CA. We hope you’ll help, too!
