2013 Honda Fit, Civic Named Among Coolest Cars Under $18,000

It’s hard to put a dollar amount on “cool,” because as varying degrees of human beings have shown over the course of history, cool can be a $2 pair of jeans from a thrift store or a $200,000 sports car from Italy. If we are going the car route, however, one pretty fair number to put on “cool” is $18,000, at least in the eyes of Kelley Blue Book, who recently assembled a list of the coolest new cars under that dollar amount.


Why $18,000? Because once you hit a certain price range, pretty much every car is cool, but under $18,000 it gets a little more challenging to find vehicles that are technologically savvy, attractive, and truly fun to drive. Luckily for Honda fans, two of the ten vehicles on the KBB.com list were Honda models: the 2013 Honda Civic and 2013 Honda Fit. Lemon Grove customers love both, probably because both are undeniably cool and affordable.

The Fit, for example, was lauded by KBB.com for being “probably the most fun to drive of all the cars in its class,” and with its hatchback and spacious interior, it is really functional for urban drivers looking for an inexpensive, cool vehicle. The Civic, meanwhile, got a refresh for the 2013 model year that critics have absolutely adored, and its combination of technology and efficiency are what make it so desirable for consumers.

And the best part is that both can be had for a price at which many “cool” cars don’t typically reside. Why not go for pure awesomeness, especially with so reasonable a price tag?
