2016 Honda Civic Coupe to Debut in L.A.

There really is nothing quite like a good auto show, and the Los Angeles Auto Show remains one of the more entertaining ones on an annual basis, especially when it comes to Honda cars. This year, Honda has big plans as they gear up to debut the all-new 2016 Honda Civic Coupe alongside the ballyhooed Clarity Fuel Cell vehicle, which we’ve discussed in this space in detail.

The Civic Coupe, however, is a new vehicle we here at Pacific Honda are very much looking forward to selling at our facility sometime in the coming months. For now, Honda actually has been pretty tight-lipped in terms of the details of this gorgeous new two-door, but we do know that aesthetically speaking it will be a much sportier-looking automobile. That’s consistent with what we’ve seen heard about the new Civic over the course of the last several months.

We also know that the new Civic Coupe will feature the same engine options as the standard sedan version of the vehicle, which means consumers will be given the opportunity to choose between a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine or a 1.5-liter turbocharged one. Both are fun yet efficient options, which is completely in line with what we’ve come to know about Civic models of the past.

Whatever ends up happening in L.A. this month, we do know that Honda has a lot of really fun things in store for the Civic line moving forward. The Coupe and standard sedan are just two options in the overhauled range; A Type R, a hatchback and a Civic Si all are coming down the pipeline, and all of them are expected to be just as exciting and buzzworthy as the coupe. We’ll happily start with that, and we eagerly anticipate the rest following closely behind.
