The 2019 Honda Fit is finally in stock at Pacific
Honda. If you’re looking for the ideal vehicle for city driving (not to mention
city traffic and tight parking spaces, both major considerations here in San
Diego), this is it. After last year’s major redesign, what’s in store for this
year?
The short answer: more of the same. Not that this is a bad thing;
after all, the new look is more attractive than the two generations preceding
it. What’s more, the features we like best — the capable powertrain, the great
technology, and the proprietary Magic Seats that maximize already-ample cargo
space that puts some SUVs to shame — is still very much in evidence.
One of the best reasons to opt for the higher-level trims — and
in this case, one of the few changes to this year’s model— comes in the safety
department. It concerns Honda Sensing, the company’s proprietary suite of
active safety and driver assist features. Honda Sensing is unavailable on the
LX and Sport trims, but is standard on the EX and EX-L trims; furthermore,
Honda Sensing gets just a little better this year with the addition of
automatic high beams. You’ll also have to step up to the EX-L trim if you want
to take advantage of satellite navigation.
That leaves one last question: which new Honda model should you buy? The 2019 Honda Fit
offers admittedly incremental changes after last year’s wholesale redesign.
However, if you’re buying with an eye toward eventual resale value, the more
recent model year is a better bet. In any event, why not call 858-694-1000 to
schedule a test drive at Pacific Honda, or just pay us a visit at 4761 Convoy St. in San Diego, CA?
