What Does CPO Stand For?

When you are shopping for used vehicles, you’ve probably heard about CPO benefits. So, what does CPO stand for? We’re outlining our CPO program at Pacific Honda and the added peace of mind it gives you when shopping used.

What Does CPO Stand For?

The abbreviation CPO stands for certified pre-owned. This refers to used vehicles that have been given the Honda-certified seal.

These vehicles must meet rigorous standards to show that, even if they are used, they still have like-new quality. They are certainly vehicles you can trust.

How Does a Vehicle Qualify?

For starters, the used Honda vehicle must be less than six years old to be HondaTrue Certified. There’s also an additional step up: HondaTrue Certified+, models less than one year old with less than 12,000 miles on the odometer.

Every HondaTrue Certified vehicle must pass a meticulous 182-point inspection to ensure it still has that superior Honda quality you’re looking for.

What are the Benefits of the Program?

These vehicles don’t just have exceptional quality. They also come with a plethora of benefits that give you added peace of mind even after you leave the lot.

  • Seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty
  • Four-year/48,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty, if purchased during the new vehicle warranty period. This extends to five-year/86,000-mile coverage for HondaTrue Certified+ vehicles.
  • One-year/12,000-mile Honda certified vehicle non-powertrain coverage (if purchased outside the new vehicle warranty period)
  • Roadside assistance
  • Two complimentary oil changes in the first year of ownership
  • CarFax® or AutoCheck® vehicle history report

Shopping for a used car has so many benefits, including a more affordable cost. However, we know buyers can be hesitant about buying used. With certified pre-owned vehicles, you can relax.
