2013 Honda Fit EV Named Among Greenest Cars
A few years ago, when it started to become clear that more and more automakers would be pushing out more and more hybrid and all-electric vehicles, we could only dream of the day when some of our favorite models would have EV counterparts. Here in 2013, however, cars like the 2013 Honda Fit EV are helping to make the all-electric vehicle more popular than ever, and according to Kelley Blue Book, that particular model is one of the Top 10 Best Green Cars of 2013.
The criteria for deciding which vehicles make the list are pretty simple; it all boils down to fuel efficiency. Obviously, the Fit EV is one of the most efficient vehicles Honda currently manufactures, and that’s the main reason so many people have shown so much interest in leasing our peppy little hatchback.
Actually, the Fit EV offers respectable power even with the great fuel economy. Thanks to a 20-kWh Lithium-Ion battery and a relatively small 92-kilowatt AC synchronous electric motor, the car offers decent torque, and a fine-tuned suspension with three different driving modes means it’s also very fun to drive All that, plus the utility offered by the hatch body style, and you’ve got yourself a fine little EV.
For now, when it comes to the EV version of the 2013 Honda Fit, Lemon Grove customers only have the option to lease, and only 1,100 of them have been manufactured so far. Still, KBB loves it compared to the increasing number of great green vehicles on the market today, and we’re certainly flattered to be selling yet another award-winning vehicle.
