2013 Honda Fit EV Named To List of Best Green Cars

All one has to do is take a cursory glance at the 2013 Honda Fit EV to get a sense that it’s one of the most fun and interesting vehicles currently in the Honda stable. We know that compact hatchbacks aren’t for everybody, but the Fit EV has put itself in a place of distinction recently with its great combination of unbelievable fuel efficiency (its miles-per-gallon numbers are some of the best in the business) and respectable power. In fact, so buzz-worthy is the new Fit EV that Kelley Blue Book, that ol’ trustworthy evaluator of cars, trucks and SUVS, recently named it to their list of 2013’s 10 Best Green Cars.

We’re not saying that the car only comes in green (though that’s certainly an option if you’re interested); rather, we’re tooting the company horn because all of the hard work Honda engineers did in making an attractive, practical, efficient, and fun automobile has paid off in exactly the way we all hoped it would. With its 20-kWh Lithium-Ion battery and 92-kilowatt AC synchronous electric motor, the Fit EV is capable of generating 123 hp and 189 lb-ft of torque—both respectable numbers for an all-electric vehicle. That, added to its jaw-dropping efficiency, makes the Fit EV a shoe-in for such a list.

Lemon Grove Honda dealers and Honda fans alike have truly fallen in love with this undeniably fun efficiency machine. Making this KBB list of green cars is just the start. More big things are sure to come, because a car this excellent is bound for greatness.
