2014 Honda CR-V Still The Top-Selling SUV
There’s no questioning the fact that Honda is one of the better-selling makes of automobile in the industry today, and obviously models like the Honda Accord and Honda Civic have helped with that. Of course, the 2014 Honda CR-V, the best-selling SUV in the entire automotive industry, has been a great member of the Honda family, too, and we Honda dealerships are very excited about the latest iteration of CR-V that only recently made its way to lots across the country.
The Edmunds review for the vehicle is unapologetically glowing. Check out this little excerpt from their rundown of the SUV: “The CR-V offers a mix of practicality, comfort, usability, fuel economy, driver involvement, reliability and low ownership costs that simply hasn’t been matched.” That’s a pretty rosy outlook on the vehicle, isn’t it?
With a standard rearview camera, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity, built-in Pandora internet radio interface all available on the base trim, there’s a lot of value to be had here. Higher trims tack on luxuries like a sunroof, leather upholstery, satellite radio, and more advanced stereo systems.
The 2013 model, nearly identical to this one, also was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick because it earned top marks of “Good” in frontal-offset, side impact, and roof strength crash tests, and the NHTSA gave it a five-star overall rating for safety, as well.
In short, this is an excellent small SUV that has made a ton of people happy, and we expect the 2014 model year version to make quite a few more happy. Honda isn’t going anywhere any time soon, and neither is the CR-V.
